CLASSICO FILMS

Classico Films was founded by Mark Charles Huntington in 2008.  The focus of the company is to provide high quality films geared for the more mature film market, films along the same line as Kramer Vs. Kramer, L'avventura and Jules and Jim, to name a few.  We are interested in films that have a variety of styles and that have strong themes and interesting characters that show insight into human behavior and the human condition.  We wish to develop films that have polished scripts, fine acting, perceptive directing and other outstanding professional production values.

Classico Films announces auditions for its upcoming non-union comedy/drama feature ‘That’s Just Life’ to be filmed early 2010.  The story concerns Tim McCourt and his wife, Addie, who visit Tim’s sister, Mary, and her new husband, Paul.  Tim, Addie and Paul work through very difficult circumstances: Tim discovers Addie can’t conceive children something they both desperately want and something which tears them apart; Paul wants very much to reconnect with his ten-year-old son whose mother has kept them apart for many years.  Thematic points about life are developed.  The film will run about 90 minutes in the final cut.

We are casting the following:

Paul Friedrich – forties

Addie McCourt– thirties, forties

Cloe, Mary's daughter - must be able to play 12 to 14

Anthony, Mary's son - must be able to play 7, 8

Tim's and Mary's father - forties, fifties

Man - twenties to forties (minor speaking role)

Second Man - twenties to forties (minor speaking role)

Woman - thirties, forties (minor speaking role)

Cloe and Anthony, who is a bit of a clown, are outgoing.  They have a song and dance number, so we need a boy and a girl who have fairly vibrant natures, at least on camera.  They do not have to have stunning voices, but they must carry a tune.  Each child must prepare and sing a song a cappella.  If the song goes longer than one minute, the auditioner will be stopped.

A rehearsal period will precede filming.  We will shoot one or two days a week for approximately ten days, though these may be extended.  Ninety percent of the script takes place in one location, which will be in Burrillville, RI.  The script has no nudity, violence or vulgarity and is geared towards the mature film market.  For a comparison, think of just a tinge of Woody Allen’s films.

Forward a current picture and resume to mchuntington89@yahoo.com.  We have received some photos without resumes, and some resumes do not have sufficient information.  A resume must be sent with a photo.  The resume must have a current phone number, hair and eye color, height, weight and age range.  The photo must be of the actor or actress only and not with other people.  A group of photos individual and with people is fine.  The individual photo needs to look somewhat professional.  If we do not receive a proper photo and a resume that has all of the above information we will not consider you.   Be professional so we can pay you the same courtesy.

We are not concerned if you do not have experience.  Some great performances have come from those

who had no experience.  If we decide to audition you you will be forwarded audition pages.  You must be

very familiar with them, though you do not have to have them memorized.  Bring these with you.  An audition day and time will be announced.

Contact by e-mail only.

The Whisper on the Bridge will resume production in 2010.
